Langebaan's lagoon and National Park offer year-round outdoor activities. Summer brings kitesurfing and water sports; winter is for hiking, mountain biking and birding. The August–September flower season is the annual highlight. Most activities are affordable and family-friendly.

33,000-hectare park wrapping around the lagoon. Hiking trails, mountain bike routes, bird hides and the famous Postberg flower section (Aug–Sep only). Geelbek visitor centre has a restaurant and history museum. Open daily 07:00–18:00 (19:00 in summer). Wildcard accepted.
Shark Bay Kitesurfing
Shark Bay, Langebaan Lagoon
SA's premier kitesurf spot. Flat-water lagoon with steady SE wind Oct–Mar. Multiple IKO-certified schools. Beginner lessons R850/2hrs. Gear hire R500/day. Shallow sandy bottom makes it safe for learners. Advanced riders use the channel for speed runs.
Postberg Wildflower Trail
Postberg Section, West Coast National Park
Open only Aug–Sep. A restricted peninsula that erupts in orange, white and yellow wildflowers. Drive the circular route or walk the 5 km trail. Eland and zebra graze among the flowers. Book online in advance as weekends sell out. Photography paradise.
